Didn't think about posting this until Christmas time ;-). Better late than never!
On the first dog drive of Thanksgiving morning, this nice 8 pointer tried to make it's way by me at around 8:15. The spread was nearly 18 inches wide and he weighed in at around 145 pounds, meaning he was probably a young deer. He was taken at our hunt club in Sussex Virginia and was a nice early Christmas present. My wife is letting me get him mounted since I don't kill deer many big deer. Most have been does or smaller bucks that don't have a uniform rack.

Nottoway 9/7/2012
The water on the Nottoway was pretty high after the week's recent rain fall, making the water kinda murky. We ended up catching mostly brim but were able to catch a few species as well. Dad and I didn't get on the water till 11:00 AM when the air temperature was in the mid to upper 80s. I got to try out my new Kingfisher seat again and Dad made he second trip in his new Wilderness Systems Tarpon.

Labor Day Weekend Float on the Shenandoah River (Sep 2012)
This was my biggest smallmouth of the day for me. Caught a few on the spinnerbait, beatle spin, and my fly rod. Didn't catch as many as Memorial Day weekend, but still had being out on the water. Caught a tonnnn of brim. From what I heard the water level was a little bit higher than normal this time of year.
